EWFLI/W&PI: A toolkit for outreach and representation

23 – 25 September, 2016 in Vienna, Austria

The “Women and Political Influence” series, organized in cooperation with the Christian Democratic International Center (KIC) and financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) was continued with a follow-up event for a group of selected participants. The event was organized in cooperation with the International Republican Institute (IRI), Europe. Participants came from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, FYROMacedonia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The goal of the event was to enable the participants to organize efficient voter contact events: to identify the concerns of the electorate and to represent them. Main topics included how to connect successfully with voters, how to build up a loyal voter base, how to set up communication and organise voter contact events, innovative tools and effective low-cost examples for campaigning, finding and fighting for an issue. The event also served as a good networking opportunity.

RSI campaign trainings offer know-how, best practices and a comprehensive view on political communication. They shape the mindset but most importantly create the opportunity to share our own experience and to learn from each other.

The Viennese training was extremely useful in giving us the opportunity to gain new experience from acting politicians and to revise with trainers some little things which we forget to use in everyday work, as well as in being a great platform for intergroup communication and network building.
