How Europe Works: Study visit

How Europe Works: Study visit to Brussels

13 – 17 November, 2016 in Brussels, Belgium

In cooperation with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies

The second and final stage of the “How Europe Works” course was concluded with a study visit to Brussels with the same group of participants who accomplished the introductory part of the project in Budapest a month ago. This time the same 14 participants got the chance to have an insight look to the everyday work of the European Parliament, European Commission, Committee of Regions, EPP, WMCES and other EPP affiliated organisation to meet relevant politicians and field experts dealing with Eastern Partnership issues.

Training the young generations politically and making them fit for Europe is a most cherished commitment shared by EPP and ÖVP as a central pillar of our political work. The Robert Schuman Institute offers an excellent framework for political education, providing its participants with expertise, political insight and clear values and principles, giving them the right tools to take up the work for the common Europe of their generation. As representative of ÖVP I am glad that I could work with a most talented group of students recently, supported by the excellent and most committed staff of RSI. What a privilege to contribute to equipping our young people with European knowhow and encouraging them with our EPP values!
