Political Communication: Study trip to Saarland

The Robert Schuman Institute organized a study trip to Germany on the occasion of the regional election campaign in Saarland with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Members of campaign teams on the national or regional level participated from EPP member parties in Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, with priority to RSI alumni.

The agenda comprised planning, running and evaluation of various components of the campaign such as briefings at the CDU campaign headquarters and local level units, visiting polling stations, attending relevant campaign events in Saarland cities and villages as well as canvassing, door-to door campaign, volunteer coordination, meetings with analysts and local experts (such as journalists) and preparations for the election day.

A public meeting with Chancellor Angela MERKEL and the Minister-President of Saarland, Annegret KRAMP-KARRENBAUER was on the agenda.
