ELI/W&PI: The power of local visibility

25 – 27 October, 2017 in Vienna, Austria

The “Women and Political Influence” series, organized in cooperation with the Christian Democratic International Center (KIC) and financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) was continued with a follow-up event for a group of selected participants. The event was organized in cooperation with the International Republican Institute (IRI), Europe. Participants came from Albania, Belarus, FYROMacedonia, Georgia, Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine.

The goal of the event was to enable the participants to organize efficient voter contact events: to identify the concerns of the electorate and to represent them. Main topics included how to connect successfully with voters, how to build up a loyal voter base, how to set up communication and organise voter contact events, innovative tools and effective low-cost examples for campaigning, finding and fighting for an issue. The event also served as a good networking opportunity.
