Academy of Public Life in Transcarpathia: How Europe Works

The aim of the project was to gather college educated youth with potential and interest in joining the European cooperation and international work of the various institutions of their region. During the first meeting EU-Ukraine and bilateral Ukrainian – Hungarian relations were in introduced, including current political challenges, ongoing local reform processes and opportunities from cross-border cooperation. Participants also received a general introduction to the work of EU institutions regarding specific topics for a better mapping of interest representation possibilities for a minority community. The same group will continue their program with a Budapest seminar in May and a Brussels study visit in June for a practical experience and network building within the EPP family.
