Sustainable social and economic development on the local level – Study visit

In line with its role to build bridges between the European People’s Party (EPP) family and center-right parties of Eastern and South-eastern Europe that are its potential new members, the Robert Schuman Institute in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Montenegro Office organized an ”Info workshop on the EPP family” for 25 members of the Bosniak Party in Montenegro.

 

The main aims of the project was to familiarize participants with the structures and basic values of the EPP as expressed in the new party platform, including their consequences and implications for particular policies, to present the specific perspectives of the EPP family, including the work at EPP Headquarters, WMCES, associations as EDS, YEPP, EPP Women, to support the inclusion efforts as well as EU-oriented work of the Bosniak Party of Montenegro in an accession country by capacity building, to establish a professional network of pro-European young politicians from the Bosniak Party and staff of the EPP on various levels, to get to know the observer member candidate party better for the EPP staff, to introduce internship possibilities and other opportunities in Brussels for young politicians wishing to acquire an EU experience.
