CALL for APPLICATIONS!

We are pleased to inform you that the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Tirana Office in cooperation with the Robert Schuman Institute Budapest announce open the call for applications for the seminar titled “Toolbox for developing local economies”. The event will take place in Tirana, Albania between 15-17 November, 2019, and welcome 15 representatives (local youth and women politicians) from the Democratic Party of Albania.
Objectives:
- The objective of the training is to help local politicians with limited experience to perform better by awareness raising in their competences and opportunities in the economic field, input to development planning, models for stimulating entrepreneurship, as well as information on funding opportunities
- Good policies must be also properly communicated; therefore participants receive a practical introduction to effective stakeholder communication strategies
- Strengthening networks on the level of young politicians
Length of the Project: 2,5 day seminar (15 November 9h – 17 November 13h)
Location: Tirana, Albania
Working Language: English (no interpretation will be provided)
Main topics to be covered (please note that these are tentative and program agenda is subject to alterations):
- Analysis of the public policy at the local and regional levels (lecture and workshop)
- Regional and local economic policy, issues of competitiveness
- Public-private partnership in building regional economic capacity
- Job creation: development of youth entrepreneurs and SMEs
- Workshop: Rural development
- Using EU funds and working with international partners
- Roundtable discussion: Failed elections – future strategies
- Fund-raising and communication skill training
