Toolbox of the Local Leaders

The Robert Schuman Institute in partnership with the Eduardo Frei Foundation and the Institute for Social Research Mk91 is organizing  a seminar training entitled “Toolbox of the Local Leaders” as follows:

22 – 24 November, 2019 (Friday-Sunday) in Ohrid, North Macedonia
arrival: November 22 (until 16h00) departure: 24 November (after lunch)

The event will be provided for 15 young politicians who are working in EPP sister parties in the following Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. 

Aims of the project:

  • To help party local leaders to build up their political profiles, arm the potential candidates of future local elections with fundamental theoretical and practical skills through sharing the best regional and international practices of political communication, self-branding, public speaking, effective usage of new media tools and platforms for campaigning and awareness raising purposes;
  • To provide learning opportunities for Western Balkan fledgling political elites within the framework of Christian democratic values and principles to help them progress in their political careers and public roles;
  • To offer a value-based perspective on the development of Western Balkan young political elites of the centre-right wing who are committed to the European integration /EU partnership of the country;
  • To bring young politicians together and provide them with a platform for idea exchange on development initiated from the local level; to help them expand their professional network through direct contacts with their fellow team members and guest speakers
