RSI StayOn is a series of online talks led by our volunteer experts and partners you may know from regular RSI seminars, touching on the variety of issues of current common challenges.

Our next talk is scheduled for Monday 17h CET (18 May 2020).  20 Years after the last European Zagreb Summit, EU leaders met again, via videoconference, to reconfirm the European perspective, support the region and get united in times of the COVID-19 crisis. Was the online Zagreb Summit a success? What are the challenges for the six countries facing the pandemic? What are the next steps after green light was given to Albania and North Macedonia to open EU accession negotiations? What does that mean for political parties?

Our invited speaker Patrick Voller Patrick F.P. VOLLER. He is since 2015 the Secretary of External Relations of the European Peoples Party and with his team, especially in charge of the Western Balkan countries, Eastern Partnership area, the MENA region and transatlantic relations. He also coordinates the EPP Foreign Affairs ministerial meetings and administrates EPP membership issues. Before starting his job in Brussels, he was 5 years International Secretary of the Austrian People´s Party ÖVP in Vienna. Voller holds a master’s degree in law with special focus on EU and International law from the University of Vienna, studied as well in Belgium at the Université Catholique de Louvain and completed the Johns Hopkins University Bologna Center – School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) International Relations post-graduate program in Italy
