Introduction to public policy

Public policy making on the local level – By Razvan Orasanu

The Robert Schuman Institute (RSI) carries out a digital training in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Beirut Office.

Structure 

  1. Elements of public policy  – how to analyse and implement local public policy
    (2nd June, 09:30 – 11:00h – EEST) 
  2. Building a local coalition – how to understand the stakeholders’ map and how to build a successful group to implement your policy
    (3rd June, 17.00- 18.00h – EEST)
  3. Applied seminar – learning from your peers plus building tools for further knowledge of public policy 
    (3rd June 18.10 – 19.30h – EEST)

About the trainer:

Razvan Orasanu has a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and work experience in the UK, USA, France, China and Romania. He is a short term consultant at the World Bank, researcher for the Economist Intelligence Unit, advisor to the Prime Minister of Romania and he is a former Minister of Privatization. Razvan is passionate about public policy at the country and local levels (cities), with special focus on finance, budgeting, education and energy. He has an elevated public profile as analyst and influencer, editorialist and book writer. 

The sessions will be organised by using the Zoom app online from your home. The training will be provided for up to 20 young politicians in EPP sister parties in Lebanon (Lebanese Forces, Kataeb).
