RSI StayOn: Youth in Politics

RSI StayOn is a series of online talks led by our volunteer experts, alumni and partners you may know from regular RSI seminars, touching on the variety of issues of current common challenges.

Our next talk is scheduled for Thursday 17h CET (04 June 2020).

  • Defining youth policy; changemakers or rebels in traditional systems?
  • Challenging prejudice; gaining ground for recognition;
  • Youth policy (challenges); fragmented, coordinated, isolated, inclusive?
  • Youth policy priorities – global trends; upholding or failing young people?
  • Education as a key component; informal connectivity for growth and skill development;
  • Cross-sectoral dimensions of youth participation;
  • European Parliament elections: ”Can Europe kick it with the kids”?

We invite everyone interested to reflect and exchange views with regard to these matters during our 60-minute online meetings on ZOOM platform https://zoom.us/

Our invited alumni speaker Josipa Šaravanja. She is a graduate of the University of Mostar (SUM), where she studied foreign languages and literature. Throughout university education, she worked with various youth-oriented organizations, bringing practical knowledge, skills-development, and networking across Europe, remaining devoted to providing opportunities for young leaders. With deep interest for international and European affairs, she completed an internship in the European Parliament and worked as an Assistant to H.E. Ambassador at the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU. She currently works as a Higher Expert Associate in Media and Communications at the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH).
