BELARUS ALUMNI DISCUSSION CLUB online series

The Robert Schuman Institute in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Eduardo Frei Foundation are organizing eight online sessions featuring informal discussions and skill training within the framework of our “Alumni Discussion Club” for Belarus’ center-right parties’ members.

The main objective is to foster an alumni network that is a potential basis of the future political elites of Belarus on the center-right side, committed to a fruitful EU-Belarus partnership and turning their country into a more democratic state through applying the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills they would gain during the course.

This virtual project is designed to:

  • help our friends from Belarus to stay meaningfully in touch with the EPP family;
  • offer them a chance to discuss more in detail and in an informal, interactive “club” setting their individual key topics of interest (in economic, political, social areas);
  • introduce local and international insight and practices provided by experts from our international network, thus contributing to a more confident professional and personal growth of our trainees;
  • boost participants’ debating and public speaking skills, as well as support their interaction with like-minded communities by connecting with representatives of different center-right organizations in Europe as the EPP family and EFF/CDA trainers;
  • provide the attendees with a chance to exchange professional experiences, best practices and lessons learnt.

ON THE MENU: We will offer our participants fours different sets of topics for discussion,  aka “flavors of the month”, thats is political communication, security and international relations, party development, and economic and financial policies, to look into during virtual roundtables and consequent workshop sessions.

Default schedule: Zoom meetings every 2 weeks, Wednesday after-work hours (17h CET Belarus time). We will hold the sessions on the following days: June 17, June 24, July 8, July 22, August 12, August 26, September 9, and September 23.
