Young Leaders XXVII for SEE

The Robert Schuman Institute in cooperation with the Eduardo Frei Foundation and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Regional Programme Multilateral Dialogue Vienna opens the call for applications for the 27th edition of its flagship “Young Leaders” series of courses, with the 5 modules to be held as follows:

1. Orientation session/introduction to Qooper Mentorship program by EFF (17 November, 2020), online, via Zoom.us
2. Basics of a Democracy (21 – 25 November, 2020), offline, in Tirana, Albania
3. International and Security Issues (25 – 29 January, 2021), offline, in Vienna, Austria
4. 4. Challenges in the Economic and Social Life (23 – 27 February, 2021), offline, in Budapest, Hungary
5. Participation in the Qooper Mentorship program, online (dates and schedule tbc)*

*Arrivals are one day before and departures are one day after the given offline course dates. The organizers reserve the right to change the locations, venue, content, and format of the series.

Our target group: the series will be provided for the selected 15 public career – oriented progressive young politicians between 22 – 30 years of age who are actively involved in EPP sister parties’ activities in SEE, committed to the values of pluralist democracy in a Christian Democratic / centre-right approach, as represented by the European People’s Party (EPP), and aiming to become political leaders in the South-Eastern European countries (SEE) such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia. They should hold university/college degree (or at least four successfully completed semesters at university / college by the start of the first course), and have strong written and oral English proficiency. 

Application process

The online application form must be filled before the deadline (November 04, 2020). We will consider complete application packages only!

 Conditions of admission:

• Preparation of all assignments before / during courses in compliance with the set deadlines
• Active and full participation in all courses
