Study visit to France on the occasion of the Presidential election campaign, 1st round

Learn first-hand and on the spot in Paris about the current state of French politics and get an insight of how campaigning is done by the local experts and politicians.

The Robert Schuman Institute (Budapest), with the support of the Fondation Robert Schuman organizes a study visit of the French election campaign for a selected group of 15 young professionals from EPP sister parties in Central, Eastern, Southeastern Europe and Lebanon who have a relevant set of tasks in campaigning, politial communication, research/ analysis or as candidates.

What to expect ont he agenda:

  • Meetings with local experts of FRS: the political context, forecasting
  • Briefings at Les Républicains / campaign headquarters and a local level unit
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Targeting and database management
  • Use and utility of social media in the campaign
  • Preparations for election day
  • Attending a relevant campaign event
  • International and EPP dimensions

Dates:  6-8 April, 2022 (Wednesday-Friday), arrival 6 April Wednesday by 17h, departure 9 April Saturday.

Venue: Paris, France

Working language: French (no interpretation will be provided)

Conditions:

  • Completed application form, including a motivation video
  • Fluent French
  • Reference letter from an EPP member party headquarters
  • EMA approved full covid vaccination
  • Age 20-35
